About Our Client My client is a leading General Contractor here in the Boston area:Based near Framingham, MAProjects all throughout the Greater Boston area40+ years in businessProject sectors include: public, multifamily, historic preservation & a growing self perform divisionProjects up to $70M+ in valueExcellent company culture & tight knit environment Job Description The Estimator - Public Construction will:Prepare detailed cost estimates for public construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate budgets.Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary data and address project requirements.Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry standards.Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.Prepare and present cost reports and project updates to stakeholders.Ensure compliance with public construction regulations and guidelines. The Successful Applicant A successful Estimator - Public Construction should have:A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.Proven expertise in cost estimation within the construction industry, particularly in public construction projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams.Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.A solid understanding of public construction regulations and procurement processes.
