Position Type:Academic Support/EL / Academic Support TeacherDate Posted:5/4/2026Location:Achieve Language AcademyDate Available:Fall 2026Achieve Language AcademyJOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: English Language Learner (ELL) TeacherSupervisor: AdministratorJob Summary: Plan for and provide appropriate instruction for identified multilingual learners.Responsibilities:Provide instruction in core curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies.Support the Minnesota Academic Standards and WIDA Standards; implement the goals and objectives of Achieve Language Academy.Evaluate student proformance in accordance with the system used by school and/or District; promote student achievement; maintain required student records; make related reports to the principal as perscribed or authorized by the superintendent.Maintain contact and communications with parents of students and work with them in the academic development of the student; participate in parent teacher conferences.Perform classroom management duties; enforce rules governing the conduct students; take appropriate disciplinary action with students when necessary.Assists in the identification of students that are at-risk in the area of language proficiency.Design and administer appropriate intervention strategies for identified students. Monitor student progress towards achieving intervention strategies fror identified students. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals.Administer the ACCESS test for ELL students and help other staff and families in interpreting the results.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Requirements:Minimum Qualifications: A valid teaching license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.ESL/ELL Licensure required.K-8 Licensure preferred.3 or more years of middle school teaching experience preferred.
