Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A dynamic opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve multiple school sites across El Dorado County for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position involves working primarily within a school district that spans from El Dorado Hills to Camino, with exact locations to be confirmed closer to the start date. Candidates should be flexible and comfortable with an itinerant role, involving travel between multiple school sites and potential changes in assignments throughout the semester.Key Responsibilities:Provide speech-language pathology services to students with mild to moderate caseloads; some severe caseloads may also be presentDeliver onsite therapy and assessments in accordance with state and district guidelinesWork collaboratively with school staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as neededManage caseloads effectively while maintaining compliance with district policies and licensing requirementsDesired Qualifications:Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license with School Services Authorization (SLP - School)Experience in California schools and familiarity with the Special Education Information System (SEIS)Willingness to travel within the county; candidates must be onsite as virtual options are not permittedAbility to adapt to varied caseload sizes and student needsStrong communication and organizational skillsLocation & Travel:Positions available across multiple school sites in El Dorado County, including El Dorado Hills and CaminoTravel required between locations; candidates should be comfortable commuting within the countyLake Tahoe is approximately a 1.5-hour drive east; Sacramento is about 45 minutes westThis contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in diverse educational settings throughout the county.
