Spectrolab offers a break from the famously difficult Los Angeles commutes.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\n\nProvide sustaining process engineering support for production of solar cell wafers and solar cell assemblies\n\nMaintain process control using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools, troubleshoot process anomalies, understand operation of process equipment, and provide timely response to manufacturing issues and needs\n\nInteract closely with teams within the larger Operations group to achieve organizational goals\n\nIdentify and execute continuous improvement and breakthrough new product or process ideas to reduce process cycle time, reduce product cost, and improve product performance\n\nSupport Research and Development (R&D) activities associated with advancing solar cell technologies and reducing the cost of the products\n\nEmbrace and foster a working culture where safety is a top priority\n\nAnticipate and drive innovative solutions to create value\n\nAdopt an entrepreneurial mindset and take smart risks\n\nMaintain a productive sense of urgency\n\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):\n\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement\n\n2+ years of experience working with semiconductor processing\n\nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):\n\nExperience in the semiconductor (III-V, II-VI, or Si) industry\n\nExperience in semiconductor processing, solar cell devices, material characterization and analytical techniques\n\nExperience with photolithography, thin film (metal and dielectric materials) deposition techniques, wet and dry etch processes, and high temperature annealing processes\n\nExperience with gated approach to process and product development and Aerospace industry material and qualification requirements\n\nExperience in programming with VBA, LabView, C, C+, C++, SQL\n\nKnowledge of statistical analysis, statistical process control, and lean principles\n\nConflict of Interest:\n\nSuccessful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.\n\nTypical Education/Experience:\n\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
