Execute and understand IT based technology as it pertains to the deployment, security, and connectivity of our current and future offerings. Responsibilities include bringing new customers online, keeping customers connected, and supporting our transition as we end of life legacy systems and bring new systems online. This position also maintains and manages the deployment of networking hardware and software systems.\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES Technical Support\r\nProviding Domestic and International Technical Assistance.\r\nSelf-deployment for on-site Technical Assistance as required with minimal supervision.\r\nUnderstand and support the cross-functional management of the infrastructure supporting network-based connections of gateways and communication cards installed at customer sites.\r\nPerform pre-configuration and testing on the VPN gateways and communication hardware deployed for delivering the connected services offerings.\r\nCoordinate and schedule regular meetings to review status of equipment, start-ups, and devices that are not communicating.\r\nProvide application support with start-ups, repairs, and occasional pre-sales. Minimal travel for on-site participation may be required.\r\nAct as a point of contact and subject matter expert for questions on network connectivity and security for all supported systems.\r\nConduct routine preventative measures on back-end systems that support network connectivity to end-point devices.\r\nModel and enforce Vertiv safety guidelines at all times.\r\nLead root cause investigation for critical sites.\r\nLead development of service-related documentation.\r\nHelp define and participate in the process for improvements and enhancements to the delivery of the offerings.\r\nMonitor connectivity and ensure system availability and reliability.\r\nParticipate in design, review, and testing of Enterprise and Remote Monitoring solutions\r\nParticipate in development of departmental procedures/guidelines.\r\nParticipate in development and validation of database forms and procedures for monitoring offerings.\r\nCreate and deliver Webinar content as assigned.\r\nProvide classroom and field training on technical subjects as required.\r\nDocument phone calls for tracking and reporting purposes, methods may vary.\r\nSubmit expense reports, trip reports, and timecards accurately and on time.\r\nManage intercompany relationships and processes for product support.\r\nAttend new product and self-development training classes.\r\nStay familiar with new products/environments that may affect product operation to include new revisions, updates, upgrades, etc.\r\nOther duties or projects assigned.\r\nNetwork devices.\r\nLANs, WANS.\r\nVPNs, RDP, MS Teams and other remote access tools.\r\nBasic understanding of key networking protocols: SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, VPN, AMQP and other network protocols.\r\nSustaining\r\nProjects\r\nAdministration\r\nContinuous Improvement\r\nQUALIFICATIONS BS CIT/EE/BSEET/CS – preferred\r\nAS CIS/ECT or similar electrical/electronic/technical degree, or equivalent training and experience in the following areas: Interacting with customers in a technical role\r\nWorking directly with hardware and/or software systems in data center or other high-availability environments\r\nMinimum Three (3) years equivalent industry experience in one or more of the following: BAS/BMS systems\r\nElectronic Monitoring systems\r\nNetworking Protocols and integration\r\nComputer-based networks\r\nBasic Database KnowledgeTechnical support\r\nMinimum three years' experience interacting with customers in a support role required, technical support experience preferred.\r\nExperience working directly with Sales teams to resolve customer problems.\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\r\nExcellent problem-solving abilities and capable of resolving network and connectivity issues.\r\nAbility to manage and maintain systems in a virtual environment.\r\nNetwork hardware and operating systems implementation experience.\r\nCollaborative skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple priorities.\r\nEffective troubleshooting skills and resolution documentation.\r\nStrong knowledge of PCs and Current Windows Operating Systems.\r\nProficient in all Microsoft Office products, especially MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.\r\nFirm understanding of Data Communications Processes, including:\r\nExcellent writing and verbal communication skills.\r\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\r\nPossess a positive attitude and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.\r\nAbility to manage multiple projects/issues simultaneously.\r\nProperly interact with all levels in the organization, and with the customer.\r\nConscientious, accurate, detail oriented, and self-motivated.\r\nAbility to work without direct supervision.\r\nPOSITIONS ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS(travel, location, etc.) In-office position at the Delaware Ohio Plant.\r\nReactive, fast-paced environment.\r\nProfessional office environment.\r\nAvailable to work flexible hours.\r\nAbility to take after-hours calls – Very rare.\r\nAvailable for travel in event of emergencies\r\nWork Authorization No calls or agencies please.
