These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.\nResponsible for pickup and delivery of mail in a safe timely manner to customer or destination according to the assigned schedule and designated routes.\nPerform daily inspection of vehicle to include, but not be limited to: ensuring that the tires are in good condition, oil and water are at appropriate levels, the exterior of the van has not been damaged, etc.; and provide written documentation to supervisor of needed service or repairs. Maintain interior vehicle cleanliness on a daily basis and exterior as needed.\nMaintains logbooks documenting all pick-ups and deliveries and accurately complete mileage and time logs.\nEnsure that employees/route listing, directions and maps are in the van. Ensure that the proper number of flares, safety triangles, first aid kits, jacks, flashlights, etc., are in the van and in proper working order.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nComplete accurate incident and seizure reports as needed.\nPerform other responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)\nHigh School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.\nYears of experience driving a passenger vehicle will be based on contract requirements.\nPer contract, valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle (MVR) required.\nSecret level clearance required\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nExcellent oral and verbal communication skills.\nMust be able to resolve customer service related issues.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nMust possess strong organizational skills.\nMust possess excellent customer service skills.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
