This role is fully remote and offered on a contract basis, with a competitive hourly rate for the successful candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and maintain development, staging, and production environmentsBuild and manage CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable deploymentCollaborate with developers to optimise infrastructure and resolve deployment issuesAutomate routine tasks and improve developer tooling across the teamMonitor system performance, uptime, and cost efficiencyImplement best practices around security, logging, and backupsSupport the incident response process and work to reduce operational risksQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with containerisation tools (e.g. Docker)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure also considered)Understanding of CI/CD workflows and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)Experience working with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)Strong understanding of Linux-based systems and shell scriptingKnowledge of Git for version controlStrong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindsetAbility to communicate clearly and work effectively in a remote environmentNice to HaveFamiliarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration toolsExposure to monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)Basic understanding of networking and security principlesPrior experience supporting web applications in a startup or early-stage environmentContract DetailsInitial 6-month contract with potential for extension based on project needs and performanceFully remote working arrangementFlexible hours and autonomy over your work scheduleCompetitive hourly rateHow to ApplyWe understand there is no such thing as a perfect fit and we are eager to hear from you if this role interests you.
