This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.\nJoin Our Team as a Mold Machine Operator!\nIn this job you will mold a variety of epoxy parts and may perform other tasks such as sandblasting and painting of molded epoxy parts. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity, and must meet requirements within time constraints driven by machine cycles ranging from 7 minutes to 22 minutes. Tasks require a high degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools such as knives, scrapers, engravers and air-impact tools. As a Mold Machine Operator, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperate injection molding machine, ensuring the smooth and efficient production of simple polymer components.\nReview job orders and simple blueprints to understand molding requirements.\nSet up molds, adjust parameters, and monitor production, maintaining optimal operating conditions for the machinery.\nCycle molding machine and monitor its progress while performing secondary operations such as deflashing, inspection, visual and mechanical application of lubricating grease, and packaging of finished product.\nInspect finished products for defects, following quality assurance guidelines and escalating quality issues when needed.\nUse hand tools like files, hammer, scrapper, air nozzle to blow off excess and clean molds, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of equipment.\nApply silicone mold release with a brush to ensure things don’t stick, facilitating efficient production processes.\nPerform sandblasting operations as required.\nDocument completed jobs, ensuring accuracy and prompt reporting of issues.\nMeet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.\nUnderstand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.\nWork with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback in pursuit of improved work quality.\nMaintain regular and punctual attendance.\nAttend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.\nCommunicate effectively and respectfully with others.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nWhat you’ll Need To Succeed:\n1+ year of machine operation experience in a production environment.\nHigh School/GED diploma required.\nAbility to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as scales and calipers.\nBasic knowledge of machine controls and programs.\nAbility to read blueprints.\nAbility to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests.\nGood communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments. Able to escalate and explain issues to team leads and supervisors as needed.\nBasic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.\nBasic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements.\nGood interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department.\nGood critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and understand efforts to improve processes.\nGood attention to detail with the ability to complete precise tasks and follow instructions accurately.\nAbility and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team .\nRelevant Experience Required:\nLess than one year experience.\n\nS&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
