Company DescriptionFly Heli is a leading provider of helicopter services, offering a range of premium services such as scenic tours, private charters, aerial photography.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a General Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic initiatives at Fly Heli. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities will include managing the operations team, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, driving revenue growth, and upholding the company's reputation for exceptional customer service and safety standards.DutiesOversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and to company standards.Lead the full employee lifecycle for ground staff, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and termination decisions.Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage, control labor costs, and meet operational demands.Train, coach, and develop ground staff to deliver consistently friendly, professional, and customer-focused service at every guest touchpoint.Foster a positive, service-oriented team culture that prioritizes hospitality, responsiveness, and guest satisfaction.Ensure all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are clearly communicated, consistently followed, and regularly reinforced through training and on-the-floor leadership.Monitor staff performance and operational quality, addressing issues promptly and implementing corrective action when needed.Serve as the primary point of escalation for staff concerns, customer issues, and operational challenges.Maintain compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement, staff development, and enhanced guest experience.QualificationsPrevious management experience is requiredLeadership and management skills, including team building, organizational development, and mentoringExperience in operations management and strategic planning.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsCustomer service skills with a proven ability to exceed customer expectationsAbove and Beyond QualificationsKnowledge of aviation industry standards, regulatory compliance, and safety protocolsPrior experience in aviation, transportation, or related industry is highly desirablePrevious experience in a hospitality or tourism related businessSalary$50,000-$60,000 / Year
