Rotational assignments may include roles in the following functions: Process / Manufacturing Engineering, Production Management, Quality, Operations, Program / Project Management, and Materials & Inventory Management.\r\n*Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position.\r\nProvide Process Engineering support to production and other departments for the manufacture of Brooks Instrument products.\r\nWork with Manufacturing Engineering and other departments to optimize machining and secondary operations processes.\r\nCollaborate with internal resources and external vendors to identify and qualify supply chain partners in conjunction with procuring raw materials, components and services.\r\nPlan and schedule manufacturing activities to meet customer needs. This includes maintaining appropriate inventory levels and aligning resources to ensure a continuous production flow to manufacturing.\r\nProvide leadership oversight for direct and indirect production workers who perform various manufacturing-related activities: i.e. assembling, secondary operations and machining.\r\nLearn ITW Toolbox concepts and apply them to the production areas to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).\r\nSupport tooling projects, preventive maintenance tracking, analyze production and process data to identify inefficiencies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\r\nSupport the quality control and quality assurance activities by conducting audits, determining root cause, and developing and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance, reduce defects, and improve overall quality performance.\r\nWork with management team to implement ITW FTB (Front to Back) activities and a culture of continuous improvement.\r\nCommunicate regularly with colleagues at all levels in the organization in formal and informal settings.\r\nRequired Education and Experience:\r\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields of study preferred.\r\nMinimum GPA of 3.2 required.\r\nPrior relevant co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\r\nSelf-starter with an ability to multi-task with an attention to detail and a commitment to accountability in a fast-paced environment.\r\nDemonstrated initiative and leadership through student employment, club, volunteer or sport participation.\r\nStrong interpersonal communications skills, both verbal and written.\r\nExcellent computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite.\r\nPhysical Demands:\r\nThe physical demands of kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, talking, hearing and repetitive motions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
