The role prioritizes an \"out-of-the-box first\" approach while building custom integrations and REST APIs when native functionality cannot meet scale or security requirements. Finally, this position determines the architecture, platform approach, and security guardrails for production-grade automation interacting with enterprise systems and corporate data.\r\nThis position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, IT Operations.\r\nResponsibility\r\nDefine when an automated workflow is permitted to take action (e.g., reset a token, provision access, update an asset record) without human intervention and what approvals/checks are required\r\nChoose when to use native platform capabilities (ServiceNow workflows/catalog, Okta lifecycle features, Slack workflows/apps, webhooks) versus building custom services/integrations (REST APIs) to meet requirements\r\nSelect appropriate automation and integration patterns (scripts, webhooks, eventing, iPaaS/connectors) and, where applicable, agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain/CrewAI) for specific use cases\r\nEstablish least-privilege access, audit logging, and \"zero-trust\" parameters for automated actions and AI-assisted workflows\r\nDesign and deliver production-grade automation and workflow buildouts that reduce manual IT effort and improve user experience (e.g., access requests, onboarding/offboarding steps, software provisioning, incident/request routing)\r\nImplement using the most appropriate approach for the use case, including platform-native workflows and scripted automation (Python/PowerShell) where needed\r\nBuild and maintain robust integrations between core enterprise systems (ServiceNow, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.) using native connectors, webhooks, and platform features where available, and custom APIs/services when required.
