The Cutter Operator will utilize cutting equipment to perform finishing operations. The Cutter may also assist with related bindery tasks as needed. Working with the Production Manager, the Vice President of Operations, and with cross-functional Production departments, the Cutter Operator contributes to company success by efficiently delivering consistent, high-quality finished print projects.\r\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\r\nAccurately and consistently log jobs in and out of Pace throughout the workday.\r\nOperate and maintain cutting equipment, ensuring precise trimming and cutting of printed materials according to specifications.\r\nSet up and adjust cutting machines for different job specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality during the cutting process.\r\nWhen needed, perform pre-run checks and coordinate with the Production Manager or another production team member for approval before full production runs.\r\nMonitor equipment during cutting operations for proper functioning and address any issues immediately.\r\nHandle, organize, and inspect printed materials, ensuring that they are ready for the cutting process and that they meet job specifications.\r\nFollow job tickets and production schedules to prioritize and complete finishing work efficiently and accurately.\r\nInspect finished products for accuracy, consistency, and overall quality, addressing and resolving any issues or defects in the binding or finishing.
