Typical monthly closing duties include:\nProduce relevant and timely financial statements to executive management, including accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions for consolidated and non-consolidated domestic and international entities, and also a high level of interaction is expected with other operating departments to evaluate results and resolve inquiries impacting the financial statements\nEnsure that adequate internal controls are in place and oversee compliance from a financial standpoint\nEngage with internal and external auditors and lead any required annual audit process\nEngage with external tax accountants and advisers to lead the preparation of all required state and federal tax returns, and assist in satisfying the requests of state and federal auditors in order to resolve tax audit issues\nResponsible for the annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range outlook functions, including interfacing with executive management and domestic and international operating departments\nResponsible for leading, scheduling, and coordinating with external auditors the annual physical inventory\nProvide clear direction and mentoring to direct reports\nPrepare monthly revenue and cost accruals using inputs from various sources including the company’s SAP system\nEnsure that revenue is correctly recognized in the proper period for all types of transactions within SAP\nReview all journal entries for accuracy before they are finalized in the SAP system\nPerform in-depth P&L analysis to identify drivers of variances to budget and forecast and review the results with the CEO prior to publication\nReview the inputs from SAP into the Spreadsheet Server application; assist with entry of data, resolution of issues and clearing validation checks\nManage monthly balance sheet reconciliation process\nEnsure that all transactions are recorded in accordance with U.S. General Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP)\nDirectly manage the accounts payable, general ledger, and tax teams\nDesign month-end close best practices including a standardized process and journal entry checklist\nImplement standardized balance sheet reconciliation process including variance analysis\nDefine/refine accounting policies and procedures\nDevelop work flows & processes for accounting functions\nWork with CEO to identify inefficient practices and refine for efficiencies\nCompleting all required U.S. Department of Commerce and other government agency reports.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Finance or relevant field required;
