You will support both departmental and cross-departmental accounting needs, ensuring integrity in accounts payable, account maintenance, and clerical workflows. You will handle inquiries, organize documents, and manage accounting systems and spreadsheets with minimal assistance from management. You will demonstrate discernment in handling escalations and non-routine situations, support internal quality reviews, and work ethically and transparently with management for spot-checks and collaborative reviews. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.\n\nAdditional information:\n\nThis position is a full-time position on-site at our office in Chico, CA.\n\nThis role requires on-site presence and does not offer remote work options.\n\nA typical work week is 8 hours daily Monday through Friday with occasional overtime.\n\nDue to the confidential nature of the job and the nature of the financial transactions you will be handling, you must be able to pass an in-depth credit check.\n\nAll job offers are contingent upon applicant passing a post-offer, pre-employment background check, non-arduous physical, and drug/alcohol screening.\n\nMinimum Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\nNote: This job description may not cover every task and duty expected of the employee. In fulfilling the responsibilities outlined herein, employees may be required to undertake additional tasks related to or naturally associated with their role, or to perform duties of a lower-level nature as needed.\n\nProcess and reconcile accounts payable (A/P).\n\nManage employee credit cards through expense software and process new card requests.\n\nMonth-end duties include assisting in processing and reconciliation of credit cards and A/P.\n\nCross-train and provide backup support for accounts receivable (A/R) and administrative duties.\n\nTrack and maintain vendor W-9s.\n\nSubmit 1099 forms annually.\n\nUpdate assorted ledgers and financial reporting.\n\nPeriodically audit financial records and statements.\n\nAudit and create accounting spreadsheets as needed.\n\nFoster and maintain vendor relationships.\n\nReview contracts and legal documents.\n\nOrganize and maintain physical and digital files.\n\nPrepare documents, presentations, and periodic reports.\n\nDetailed communication between individuals and organizations.\n\nCreate, maintain, and enter information into databases.\n\nPerform data entry as required to complete job tasks assigned.\n\nConsistently provide a positive internal customer service experience.\n\nAttend work on a regular and continuous basis.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nAssociate’s degree in accounting with 1-2 years bookkeeping/accounting experience (3-5 years in lieu of degree).\n\nReliable transportation to/from work.\n\nValid California Driver’s License with no more than 1 point and no DUI’s.\n\nSuccessful completion of post-offer-pre-employment screening, including physical, drug screening, and background check.\n\nIntermediate to advanced computer skills with Office 365 and stand-alone applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.\n\nProficiency in accounting software; Sage 50 is desired.\n\nUnderstanding of debits, credits, balance sheet and income statements, accounts payable and receivable, use of chart of accounts and general ledgers.\n\nKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, systems, and office equipment.\n\nAbility to think critically, independently, and utilize problem-solving skills.\n\nHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency.\n\nMust be able to manage and direct your own work, independent of supervision.\n\nMaintain confidential information.\n\nAble to thrive under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines.\n\nAble to articulate answers to complex accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate politely and effectively.\n\nAbility to perform mathematical calculations accurately and consistently.\n\nAbility to adhere to designated full-time schedule.\n\nCollaborative mindset for internal and cross-functional teamwork.\n\nAbility to pivot between multiple priorities and projects as needed.\n\nCommitment to upholding and promoting Company values.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nAbility to sit for extended periods of time and use repetitive motions including writing and typing.\n\nSpecific vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.\n\nRequires prolonged use of near vision with or without correction, and an ability to see details at close range (such as using a computer monitor, reading reports, etc.).\n\nUse of hands to hold, grip, carry, and physically interact with objects, tools, or controls.\n\nMust be able to navigate all areas of the office, occasionally including areas accessible only by stairs.\n\nOccasionally, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and reaching objects up to 25 pounds.\n\nBenefits and Compensation information:\nThe starting compensation range is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience.\n\nDigital Path offers a comprehensive benefits program to all eligible employees.
