The role is on‑site and relocation is not available. Candidates with 5+ years of experience in process engineering are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include development, scalability and validation of proprietary technology such as dryer design, atomization design, and process optimization.\n\nLocation & Employment\nHebron, KY – Full‑time – Mid‑Senior level – Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance – Food and Beverage Manufacturing\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop and test new atomization, dryer design and slurry manufacturing equipment\n\nDevelop scalability criteria for dryer designs, complete design packages and validation studies\n\nDesign and test next generation atomization technologies for scalability\n\nCorrelate atomization performance with rheology and understand mathematical correlation to scale\n\nCollaborate with existing modeling expertise for accurate and mathematical scalability approaches\n\nClearly document experimental results, design theory, and implementation for sharing with the organization\n\nInclude all system components, including drying system, accessibility, ease of operation, cleaning and sanitization systems and automation theory into comprehensive design\n\nIncorporate all process hazard analysis into design criteria\n\nDevelop comprehensive capital and installation budgets\n\nDevelop programs for new product scalability and prepare summaries for deployment into production\n\nDocument P&ID, SOPs, Design Feasibility and Conceptual requirements for new systems\n\nAssist with fabrication level specifications and drawings\n\nAttend and participate in weekly meetings\n\nApply food safety practices to operations and dryer development; applying them to design and development activities\n\nFollow food safety and food defense procedures as instructed and required\n\nSupport site Food Safety and Quality Policy, including the site Food Safety Culture\n\nPerform other related duties and assignments as required\n\nRequired Skills\n\nDesign of Experiments and Testing\n\nEquipment Modeling and Design\n\nOral and Written Communication Skills\n\nMathematical Aptitude\n\nUnderstanding of basic unit operations\n\nOrganization and Project Management\n\nAnalytical Skills and Statistical Analysis\n\nQualifications\n\nExperience with equipment design and integration\n\nExperience with process scale up\n\nBachelor’s Degree required (Chemical / Mechanical Engineering)\n\n5 years’ experience required\n\nMaster’s degree or higher Preferred\n\nBenefits\n\nMedical insurance\n\nVision insurance\n\n401(k)\n\nOn Line Design, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on age, race, religion, color, sex, national origin, marital status, physical or mental disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
