The ideal candidate will have experience in Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi automation platforms, and SCADA systems such as Ignition or Wonderware.\nThis role works cross-functionally with Engineering and Production teams to deliver robust and efficient control solutions for manufacturing and process automation for the EV cell pilot line. This is a hands-on, high impact role that reports to the Maintenance Engineering Manager.\nJob Duties:\nDesign, program, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs for automated systems on the battery manufacturing line.\nDevelop and maintain SCADA applications for real-time monitoring and control.\nLead control system architecture design, including I/O selection, network configuration, and safety integration.\nPerform system integration, commissioning, and on-site support for automation projects.\nCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers to ensure seamless system operation.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives.\nPrepare comprehensive documentation including design specifications, technical manuals, and user guides for control systems. Generate reports to communicate project status, test results, and recommendations to stakeholders.\nQualifications/Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or related field within industrial manufacturing.\nExperience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens required; Mitsubishi preferred.\nFamiliarity with software development tools/languages (Visual Basic, C/C++, Python, Ignition) for control system integration.\nFamiliarity with VFD's, servo drives, and encoders.\nControl panel building and design experience.\nAbility to independently troubleshoot equipment for improvement for quality and delivery.\nNetworking (Ethernet IP, Modbus) experience.\nFamiliar with NEC, OSHA, IEEE, and other standards.\nAutoCad, SQL, MS application experience preferred.\nPossess strong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to maintain a good working relationship with the customers, vendors, and team members and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.\nExperience with motion control systems, robotics, and mechatronics.\nAble to work daily on-site at our Louisville, CO facility.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 pounds).\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.\nAbility to work in confined spaces and at heights.\nAbility to withstand exposure to noise, vibration, and extreme temperatures.\nAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, half or full-face respirator or PAPR.\nSalary Range: $104,000 - $156,000/year\nBenefits: Solid Power offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, employer paid Life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance, 401k with company match, paid holidays, Unlimited PTO, up to six (6) weeks paid FMLA leave, cell phone reimbursement and eligibility to participate in our bonus and equity plans.\nCompany may delay commencement of employment, rescind an offer of employment, terminate employment, and/or may modify job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and/or access to Company facilities and information systems, as Company deems appropriate, in order to ensure compliance with applicable government access control restrictions.\nThis position will be posted for a minimum of 7 days and will remain open until filled or adjusted based on the volume of applicants\nAll offers of employment at Solid Power are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check.\nThe employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.\nPlease no soliciting from staffing agencies.
