Our Material Handlers are responsible for performing a number of different and important responsibilities including material receiving, material & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nReceive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations\nMaintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area\nMaintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials\nAssists assigning production areas when not moving materials\nEnsure the product and or materials meet quality expectations\nNotify supervisor of improvement opportunities\nSupport area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials\nClean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be painted\nService the pre-finish line with needed material components (loading paint carts with frame parts and door’s)\nAssist pre-finish line area with removal of completed product to go to build prep and or stretch-wrap machine\nStage completed and stretched wrapped door products into shipping staging lanes by loads\nLoad trucks with finished door products per direction of Production Manager\nResponsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines\nPerform other duties as assigned\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nCompetency Statement(s)\nCommunicates Effectively - Creates open channels of communication, adapts message to fit the audience, expresses ideas clearly and concisely, keeps others well informed; listens carefully to input and feedback\nCustomer Driven - Provides outstanding customer service (to both internal and external customers); follows through on responsibilities to customers; leaves all customers satisfied\nDemonstrates Inclusion - Demonstrates understanding and respect for people of all backgrounds\nDrives Quality - Work is correct and error free within company policies and guidelines, checks quality of the work before passing it along, passionate in ensuring that customer receives a quality and correct product/service\nSafety Orientation - Follows safety policies and procedures, identifies, and corrects safety hazards, encourages others to work safety\nDrives Results - Demonstrates the ability to get results despite large workload, competing demands and a fast-paced environment; performed all tasks in job description in a highly effective manner, creative and innovative and drives process improvements\nProduct/Job Knowledge - Demonstrates a high level of knowledge of job, products, services, and procedures.
