We will continue to have our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.How You Will Make An ImpactDeliver an industry-leading claims experience for all policyholders and claimantsVerify coverage and determine liability for a wide range of accident scenariosConsistently make prompt and courteous contact with all parties involved in a claimUtilize exceptional time management and organizational skills to proactively manage pending claims and associated tasksRespond to claim correspondence in a timely mannerObtain detailed accident statements from drivers, passengers, and witnessesCoordinate vehicle repairs and assist with rental reimbursementContribute to the continuous development of claims guidelines and best practicesRecommend potential product developments and process improvementsInteract and communicate effectively with customers, peers, vendors, and managersEngage in learning opportunities to expand knowledge of personal lines claims, court decisions affecting the claims process, current claims guidelines, and policy changes and modificationsWhat You Will Need To SucceedBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requiredAbility to obtain additional insurance licenses within 30 days3-5 years of file ownership experience in handling insurance claimsProficient in reading and interpreting policy languageSkilled in assessing and explaining liability decisions, including scenarios involving shared negligenceStrong understanding of liability and casualty principlesProfessional demeanor with empathyFamiliarity with claims best practicesHigh attention to detailOpen-minded approach to problem-solvingAbility to maintain high-quality claim handling while ensuring strong productivityQuick learner with the ability to apply new conceptsCoachable and committed to professional growthExperience managing complex personal auto claims to closureRecognized as a resource within the team and functional areaAs part of Root's interview process, we kindly ask that all candidates be on camera for virtual interviews.
