Director of Health Information Management

Department: Health Information Management FTE: 1.0 FLSA: Exempt Job ID: 2024-026 Posted: 3/14/2024 Summary: To lead and engage a 6-8 person staff of various roles and responsibilities. To manage the operation of the HIM department ensuring that all functions are completed in accordance with the philosophy and goals of the Medical Center, and are within the requirements of all regulatory groups, external accrediting agencies and licensing bodies. Serves as the Privacy Officer for RLMC. Required Qualifications: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Bachelor’s degree in Medical Record Administration, Business, Healthcare, or related field Minimum of three years of HIM experience including competency with computer systems. Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory experience, healthcare setting preferred. Additional Requirements: Qualified candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and customer service skills. Must be able to prioritize assigned duties, and follow instructions with attention to detail.
