We specialize in customized, turn‑key solutions that ensure safe, secure, and reliable power distribution.\nJob Summary We are looking for an Estimation Engineer located in Fontana, CA. The Estimation Engineer will collaborate with our engineering department, project managers, and business development team to prepare cost proposals for our relay panels and control enclosure manufacturing projects.\nSupervisory Responsibilities May be responsible in the hiring process of selecting personnel for the department\nTrain, coach, and develop team members on specific topics related to estimating and engineering\nTypical Day Review RFP/RFQ specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate in order to bid to meet or exceed customer specification requirements.\nCoordinate directly with customers regarding specification/design questions and clarifications.\nWork with suppliers/vendors in obtaining pricing, including developing and maintaining working files for estimate figures including information of prices from suppliers, price lists, etc.\nReview Building Estimators work for any omissions or errors.\nWork with estimator to fix these and to help them understand what needs to be done in the future.\nPrepare accurate, detailed, disciplined estimates, including developing scope of work, pricing, and labor schedules.\nDesign and draw select fabrication and assembly drawings for control buildings and/or control panels as required for submittal with the bid, depending on the scope of the project.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives to meet growth demands.\nParticipate in weekly meetings.\nRun kick off meetings for projects as assigned by the department manager.\nResearch new procedures, proposals, and process improvements as we grow our operation.\nPropose ideas and suggestions for areas of improvement to standardize and increase bid success rate.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to read Mechanical and Electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams\nAbility to read and understand Commercial Documents\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\nAble to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently\nStrong critical thinking skills and ability to make independent judgments\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and other related programs (AutoCAD, Solidworks)\nExperience / Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field\nAt least 2 years of related experience.\nBenefits Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\nSalary Pay Range (Applicable to California) $69,500.00 USD - $95,500.00 USD Annual.\nEmployment Category Global Procurement & Supply Chain\nRelocation Not eligible\nSponsorship No\nEqual Opportunity Employer Crown is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
