AEX is a business unit of Arconic.\nArconic is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN.\nProfile : The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for capital improvements and assisting with production uptime.\n\nEssential Functions: The Electrical Engineer within AEX requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork. Major duties include but are not limited to:\nWorking closely with production and maintenance to upgrade existing equipment.\nPerforming repairs.\nInstalling new machinery.\nSupporting day-to-day operations by acting as a resource for skilled trades and contracted services.\nGeneral duties for the Electrical Engineer include but are not limited to:\nManaging capital investment projects including the design, budget proposals, scope, and specifications.\nMaintaining and managing control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems in the plant.\nAssisting in production with identifying efficient and sustainable improvements to production centers.\nAssisting maintenance with equipment and control system troubleshooting.\nImplementing automation designs to improve safety, reliability, and reducing down time.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution\nA minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar environment\nEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nThis position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency.
