They use tools, machines, and their hands to put together cabinets, casework, door framing, hardware and more. Team assemblers work on an assembly line, but they rotate through different tasks, rather than specializing in a single task. We work with the concept of lean production, such as rotating tasks and seeking worker input on improving the assembly process. This role will need to work the assigned shift, including any mandatory overtime.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPrecision assembling or adjusting of part within very narrow tolerances and standard operating procedures.\nClean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment.\nUse of hand tools, power tools, glue gun throughout the shift.\nFeed material through machines or “catch” material and stack them accordingly using rollers.\nFollow instructions from more experienced employees to operate machines, hold or supply materials and tools, and load and unload items from machines and assembly lines.\nLocate parts, tag them with identifying text and numbers, and record information such as gauge readings, products produced and manufacturing times.\nAssist with quality control by reporting defective products or equipment malfunctions to higher-level employees, and if necessary, assist with any fixes.\nMaintain regular and reliable attendance, arrive on time for scheduled shifts, and adhere to the company’s attendance policies and procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION\nHigh School diploma or GED.\nMinimum 3-6 months related experience and/or training.\nPrevious experience with tools and/or industrial machines preferred.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nBasic mathematics.\nRead and understand schematics and blueprints.\nProficiency in reading a tape measure.\nUtilize situational awareness in detecting any deviation in the functioning of the machine.\nAbility to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nEnsuring that safety is always top priority while working.\nAbility to work schedule as assigned.\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
