If you're looking for a place where your contributions have real impact, you’ll fit right in.Job DescriptionRESPEC seeks an experienced Senior Geologist to support our Aggregates team.The Senior Geologist supports RESPEC’s Mining & Energy market sector by delivering high‑quality geological solutions that meet client needs. This role leads project management efforts, including direct communication with mining clients, coordination with drilling contractors, and collaboration with internal teams. The Senior Geologist designs and executes exploration and resource geology drilling programs across the U.S. and Canada, oversees project budgets and schedules, and ensures successful completion of all deliverables.Key responsibilities include performing geologic core sampling, compiling and analyzing drillhole and QA/QC data, conducting property evaluations, and contributing to mineral resource estimations, many of which will be publicly reported. The position also prepares technical reports aligned with industry and international standards, such as scoping studies, preliminary economic assessments, and feasibility-level documents. The Senior Geologist communicates findings to clients clearly and professionally and provides mentorship and training to junior geological staff.We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruitersQualificationsRequired:A bachelor’s of science degree in geology, geological engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 6-10 years of experience as a resource, exploration, mine development, and/or production geologistProfessional Geologist (PG) registration or ability to obtain license after employmentDemonstrated experience with:Drilling campaigns, mapping projects, sampling, and geologic and resource modelingIndustrial minerals, construction materials, cement, crushed stones, sand and gravels, and resource modelingProficient with industry recognized resource modeling and mining software, such as Carlson, Surpac and/or Vulcan, to develop geologic and resource modelFamiliarity with geologic drillhole databases, exploration programs QA/QC, and drill-sample collection and processing proceduresMust possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travelPreferred:A master’s of science degree in geology, geological engineering, or a related fieldExperience with a variety of commodities and deposit typesPrevious consulting experience in the mining industryMineralogy and/or geochemistry backgroundAbility and willingness to attain Qualified Person (QP) status under National Instrument (NI) 43-101 guidelinesAdditional InformationCompensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.
