The Senior Manager Operations is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for existing products and/or technologies. They contribute to budget development for labor and capital expenditures and manage resources to meet financial performance requirements.How you will make an impact:Ensure the safety of work practices in accordance with the company's Safety ProgramsMaintain compliance with cGMPs in all activitiesProvide operational leadership for manufacturing processesImplement strategies that ensure achievement of objectives consistent with the site's strategic directionManage employees involved in the execution and maintenance of manufacturing processes and operationsParticipate in short-term planning and supervision of projects requiring interaction with OperationsManage Manufacturing investigations, process variances, and deviationsContribute to the development and revision of production plansSupport the Operations annual budget and quarterly forecasting processesFocus internally and externally, interacting with team members, peers, and managementMaintain a network of expertise within the company and industryLeadership Responsibilities:Provide effective leadership, including implementing objectives and operational strategiesEstablish team and individual goals aligned with departmental prioritiesStrengthen team capabilities and organizational effectivenessImplement appropriate team structures and processesIdentify and communicate risks, supporting strategies to manage operational riskContribute to departmental long-range planningEnsure effective utilization of resources through employee development and performance managementManage team headcount and expenses to meet approved spending plansMotivate, retain, and develop key team membersInteract with relevant departments and functions to execute production plans and meet yearly goalsREQUIREMENTS:How you will get here:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a science or technical field7+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related industry3+ years in a manufacturing management positionOr an equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred Qualifications:Proven ability to train, coach, and lead high-performing teamsDemonstrated leadership of manufacturing teams to meet commercial production schedulesStrong collaboration with cross-functional partners, including Quality, Manufacturing Technical Support, Facilities, Engineering, and ValidationSkilled in authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures and controlled documentationHands-on knowledge of Deviation, CAPA, and Change Control systems (e.g., TrackWise)Expertise in troubleshooting, investigations, root cause analysis, and risk assessment within a cGMP environmentTrack record of driving improvements in technical and business processesSolid project management capabilitiesUnderstanding of GMP engineering facilities and equipment design conceptsFamiliarity with post-approval changes and CMC sections of regulatory submissionsStrong communication and influencing skills across all levelsBackground in Process Development and/or Manufacturing Technical SupportExperience supporting budgeting and operational planning activitiesKnowledge of supply chain principlesFamiliarity with ERP systems such as SAPLeadership Qualifications:Ability to motivate and inspire team members, build effective teams, and manage for high performanceAdaptability to changing environments and ability to make sound decisionsUnderstanding of operational challenges and ability to implement effective solutionsTrack record of continuous improvement initiativesUnderstanding of internal and external customer needsAbility to set and achieve targets, drive for results, and promote accountability within the teamBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
