The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. This role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and analysis.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across multiple entities.\nPost and review month-end journal entries to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.\nOversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and industry standards.\nTrack key metrics such as prime costs (labor + COGS), inventory turnover, and waste\nCollaborate with operations managers on cost control initiatives\nReview daily sales reports and POS data for accuracy across systems such as R365 and Square\nSupport integration and data flow between POS, accounting, and payment platforms (e.g., Stripe)\nReconcile all balance sheet accounts across all entities, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidations, to maintain accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.\nDevelop, implement, and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.\nAssist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making.\nProvide financial analysis on operations, trends, costs, revenues, and obligations to anticipate future performance.\nSupport accounting system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvements for scalability and efficiency.\nTake on ad hoc projects.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).\n4–6 years of progressive accounting experience in the restaurant industry.\nStrong technical knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.\nProficiency in R365\nExceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).\nStrong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities across properties and projects in a fast-paced environment.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across operations and senior management.\nBENEFITS\nCompetitive salary based on experience.\nComprehensive health insurance.\nRetirement plan options.\nGenerous vacation and PTO policy.\nOpportunities for career growth within a dynamic and expanding hospitality and real estate management group.\nNote: This description indicates, in general terms, the type and level of work performed and responsibilities held by the team member(s).
