CCTV Technician

CCTV Technician – Marine DivisionWe are one team, dedicated to working collaboratively to develop tailored security solutions for our customers. As a critical part of the team, the Technical Lead works onsite and offsite with our customers to set up and program and train our customers on their Integrated Security systems.   As an integral part of the team, you are expected to provide input and support to our customers’ systems.Essential Responsibilities:Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment.·       Assist in the design of systems based on customer meetings and walk-throughs.·       May be asked to manage installation teams.Coach and mentor less experienced installers.Interface with customer personnel developing relationships and demonstrating systems; providing training as needed.Use technical manuals and interface with manufacturers technical support to troubleshoot problemsUse electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation.Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.Performs system checks for proper operation.Participate in company training and self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in program platforms.Interface and consult with the customer during site assessments, to recognize and assist with the development of client proposals for retrofits, upgrades or improvements to existing security systems.Service and support customers, remotely and on site as needed.Required Skills:Must be computer literate with knowledge of computer programs including word processing, and spreadsheets.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work paying close attention to details.Electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.Understanding of the function and design of large-scale CCTV Systems.Experience with IP addressable security devices, CCTV VMS, and Cameras.Personality:Demonstrate and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the Company.Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.Improve personal performance on a continual basis.·       Proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentation(s).Additional Requisites:·       This position requires extended travel to shipyards and on vessels world wide.·       Successful completion of drug and background check.·       Valid Passport. ·       Marine experience preferredWhat We Offer:·       Competitive compensation·       Paid training·       Comprehensive benefitsAbout Us:We are a service oriented, family-owned business with over 35 years of industry experience in the design, installation, implementation and maintenance of technologically advanced integrated security and life safety systems.Headquartered in Hollywood Florida, we have completed extensive projects the world over.
