Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in providing patient care in various healthcare settings, including acute care and critical care environments.
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
- Enter prescription information into computer systems accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Follow proper procedures for medication storage, labeling, and disposal.
- Adhere to aseptic technique when compounding sterile products.
- Assist with medication administration, including IV infusions.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and medication administration is beneficial.
Educational Requirement:
The candidate must be a certified Pharmacy Technician and registered with the State Board of Pharmacy.
The candidate must have at least 6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience.
Current CPR Certificate and experience working in a correctional environment are preferred, but not required.
Pay: $20.00 - $20.65 per hour
