A successful candidate will lead a team of talented software engineers to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.\n\nClearance eligibility required\nSelected applicants will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.\n\nFunctions:\nThis position requires the candidate to lead an onsite engineering team and manage the project. In this role, you will need to:\nDevelops, oversees, and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within the program guidelines set by the Thompson Software Solutions leadership team and customer.\nReviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, drives execution, identifies opportunities, and delivers results to the customer.\nAssesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.\nIdentifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.\nUnderstand how to develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV) and manage a project using Earned Value Management principles.\nMust have ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers.\nPerform additional job duties as assigned.\nThe program manager Oversees technical coordination to meet project goals. Provides clear, timely progress updates to customers and leadership. This position requires up to 25% travel.\n\nSecurity Clearance: Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.\n\nBasic Requirements\n4+ years of Program Management experience\nExperience managing a program or portfolio of programs exceeding $2M\n5+ years of software development experience\nProficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)\nPrior Experience using Agile Software Methodologies\nBachelor’s degree in STEM discipline\nPrior experience with DOD project management or software development\nExperience in software development and integrations programs\nControl Accounts management\nScrum master experience\nAbility to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with customers and peers\n\nPreferred / Additional Skills\nWork experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\nAgile practitioner certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP)\nRequirements generation experience\nFamiliarity with DO-178C\nModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience\nExperience communicating and documenting complex technical designs\nExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills\n\nSound Exciting?
