Selected participant will get part-time on-the-job experience while attending your own outside program geared toward service. This position supports the Service Department providing extraordinary customer service on new and used John Deere equipment, while also providing exceptional hands-on experience.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nAssist the Service Manager and technicians in the efficient operation of the department\n\nCleans, organizes and maintains the condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment\n\nAssist service technicians as needed, including delivery of parts\n\nAssist service technicians with repairing, servicing and moving equipment\n\nResponsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information.\n\nMay participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge\n\nPerform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment\n\nMaintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products\n\nOperate and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities\n\nRequirements\nWhat it Takes\n\nExperience working cooperatively in a team environment\n\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing\n\nPhysical stamina in the handling of complex tools and heavy equipment and moving through confined spaces\n\nEducation\n\nHigh school diploma or GED\n\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
