Job Title: Sustainability Program SpecialistEmployment: Salary ExemptReporting to: Director of Training & SustainabilityDepartment Mission: To cultivate a unified, empowering culture where leadership, personal growth, and sustainable practices thrive, benefiting every employee, customer, and community we serve.Summary/Objective The sustainability program specialist supports SIMONA America Group’s sustainability strategy through execution, coordination, and data management. This role collaborates within the department to ensure continuity, accuracy, and timely delivery of sustainability and training initiatives, reporting, and facility-level engagement.Reports to the Director of Training & Sustainability, this position plays a key role in managing sustainability data collection, reporting preparation, project execution, and cross-facility coordination, helping maintain alignment with SIMONA AG standards and global ESG frameworks. This role will work closely with facility operations management, production management, technical teams, sustainability teams, and outside organizations as needed. This role is expected to support shared program coordination, tracking, and reporting activities across the training and sustainability department.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Sustainability Data and Program SupportCoordinates Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions data collection across North American FacilitiesSupport sustainability reporting aligned with SIMONA AG standards, CSRD requirements, and EU TaxonomyManage data validation, documentation, and quality control for sustainability and training metricsPrepare draft reports, data summaries, and supporting documentation for internal and external useSupport Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data collection and execution activitiesProject Execution and Facility CoordinationSupport execution of sustainability initiatives including circularity projects, energy efficiency, and resource reduction effortsCoordinate with facilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders to track deliverablesPresent data and KPIs internally as neededPresent Sustainability related initiatives and project updates as needed.Coordinate facility-level KPIs, timelines, and follow-upsAssist with certifications, audits, and compliance-related initiatives (ISO, OCS, etc.)Measurement, Data, & Department InitiativesSupport training alignment for global and cross-functional initiatives (S4/HANA, future AI integration, global training rollouts)Maintain sustainability and training-related data trackers and documentationSupport survey data collection and basic analysis related to sustainability and trainingSupport culture and change initiatives aligned with SIMONA’s “Company Like a Friend” values.Stakeholder & Consultant CoordinationCoordinate with external consultants and partners to support sustainability projects and reportingTrack deliverables, timelines, and follow-ups to ensure completionSupport internal communication and alignment across facilities and departmentsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree or relevant work experience.Three to five years of experience in ESG, EHS, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, or related fieldsExperience working with data driven programs across multiple teams or facilities preferredQualifications and Skills: Strong analytics and organizational skillsHigh attention to details and data integrityComfortable coordinating across multiple sites and stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyRequired CompetenciesProgram coordination and executionSystems thinkingCross-functional communicationData Management and reportingTravel Required: 20-30% travel, including facility visits, group alignment meetings, and industry engagement.Supervisory ResponsibilityNo current supervisory responsibilities but must effectively influence and collaborate with on-site managers to achieve training objectives.Work Environment This job is performed in an office and training settings.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salary exempt position. Hours of work are general Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. 40 hours per week.
