If you are looking for a highly technical career in a challenging environment, please contact us today.\n\nPosition Summary\nThe EHS/Facilities Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s environmental, health, safety, and facility operations programs. This position helps ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, company safety policies, and facility maintenance standards while promoting a safe, clean, and efficient workplace environment.\n\nThe EHS/Facilities Engineer will work closely with management, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and employees to support safety initiatives, coordinate training, maintain documentation, and oversee facility-related projects and repairs.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS)\n\nAssist in administering and maintaining company safety programs and OSHA compliance initiatives.\n\nCoordinate and track required employee safety training.\n\nConduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments throughout the facility.\n\nInvestigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions.\n\nMaintain OSHA logs, safety records, SDS binders, and compliance documentation.\n\nAssist with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and Emergency Action Plans.\n\nCoordinate emergency evacuation drills and safety meetings.\n\nEnsure safety signage and postings are current and properly displayed.\n\nMonitor compliance with company safety rules and report violations to management.\n\nAssist with workers’ compensation documentation and incident follow-up.\n\nCoordinate vendor services related to safety compliance and environmental requirements.\n\nMaintain chemical inventories and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.\n\nFacilities\n\nCoordinate facility maintenance requests and repairs.\n\nWork with outside vendors and contractors for building maintenance and services.\n\nMonitor building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems.\n\nAssist with maintaining facility cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards.\n\nCoordinate inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.\n\nMaintain facility-related records, permits, and service contracts.\n\nSupport office moves, workstation setups, and facility improvement projects.\n\nAssist in managing waste disposal and recycling programs.\n\nEnsure common areas, break rooms, and exterior grounds are maintained appropriately.\n\nCoordinate snow removal, landscaping, pest control, and janitorial services as needed.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineer or related field preferred.\n\n2–5 years of EHS, facilities, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.\n\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.\n\nExperience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.\n\nStrong organizational and documentation skills.\n\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office programs.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees.\n\nExperience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000 & ISO 45001 environments.\n\nExperience coordinating contractors and facility vendors.\n\nForklift certification knowledge or experience.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to walk throughout the facility for extended periods.\n\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.\n\nAbility to work in both office and manufacturing environments.\n\nAbility to respond to emergencies and facility issues as needed.\n\nAAP/EEO Statement\nMetallized Carbon Corporation has been and will continue to be an equal opportunity employer.
