We search for technically brilliant individuals in engineering, software, and support fields who take ownership of their work, enjoy collaborating in teams, and have a laser focus on the details that drive excellence.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nLead efforts in coding, testing and validation of vehicle control software\r\nManage software field deployments and provide support on-site and remotely to customers.\r\nWork with stakeholders to derive and own software system requirements and schedules.\r\nEvaluate and identify improvements to system design with a specific focus on robust autonomy.\r\nCollaborate with scientists, engineering managers, product management, and program management to drive new product development programs from concept to production.\r\nWrite requirements and specification documents.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.\r\nMore than 6 years of hands-on experience in software development for PC or embedded platforms.\r\nProficient in developing bare-metal applications using C/C++.\r\nProficient in applying testing frameworks and conducting unit tests.\r\nProficient in writing drivers for various types of sensors.\r\nBasic understanding of electromechanical systems (motors, actuators, controls).\r\nExperience crafting autonomous safety-critical fault recovery code.\r\nProven experience crafting reliable software architectures for critical systems.\r\nAdept with Git version control system.\r\nUnderstanding of digital communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, asynchronous serial, CAN, SPI, I2C).\r\nBackground in spaceflight avionics applications.\r\nFamiliarity with automated testing methodologies and continuous integration practices.\r\nFamiliarity with circuit schematics and performing basic hardware debugging tasks.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience of operational control of a remotely controlled mission with large latencies.\r\nExperience with building and working with GDS or other C2 systems.\r\nFamiliarity with vision-based autonomy and hazard avoidance.\r\nSkilled in Python scripting.\r\nBackground in developing software for vehicles.\r\nExperienced in working with sensors and camera systems.\r\nProficiency in building maintainable and versatile multithreaded and mult-process applications in an RTOS environment.\r\nPay Range\r\nBase Pay Range for CA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55\r\nOther site ranges may differ\r\nCulture Statement\r\nDon't meet all desired requirements?
