It includes teaching, training, and leading team members, presenting a professional image at all times, coaching and counseling to maximize sales and profitability, controlling expenses, meeting budgetary constraints, handling guest complaints, and ensuring sanitation, safety, and food quality.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities Manage hourly employees including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.\r\nReview applications, interview, and make recommendations to hire hourly employees.\r\nObserve kitchen operations and address any issues promptly and directly.\r\nDirect work for employees by setting hours, creating weekly schedules, and assigning tasks before, during, and after opening hours.\r\nDrive sales and guest satisfaction; manage food costs, inventory levels, utility usage, and Health Department ratings.\r\nEnsure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation of food products.\r\nEnsure the CHARM Service Model is executed by every team member with every guest.\r\nProvide, direct, and schedule front-of-house and back-of-house training to ensure all team members have current knowledge of all Ruby Tuesday policies, procedures, and specs.\r\nSupervise and oversee the production and preparation of food and beverage in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures.\r\nFollow the Operations Playbook to ensure consistent daily operations.\r\nUtilize the digital manager logbook to communicate shift notes, product needs, equipment repairs, and staffing notes with the management team.\r\nEnforce appropriate security measures so that the safety of employees and guests is always maintained.\r\nManage food, supplies, and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory.\r\nUnderstand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures.\r\nAdhere to company policies, procedures, state and federal wage and hour regulations, and restaurant filing responsibilities.\r\nEnsure all equipment is in good repair.\r\nManage all processes including line checks, pull thaw, prep lists, food inventory, beverage cost, truck orders, food safety, etc.\r\nCoach the team to ensure food and beverages are prepared to Ruby Tuesday recipe specifications regarding portion, preparation, and plate presentation.\r\nMaintain a valid food safety certificate and local compliance certifications.\r\nExecute new initiatives including new product and menu rollouts.\r\nLively our core values every day: Be Real, Do Good, Walk Together.\r\nQualifications Must be at least 21 years old.\r\nHigh School Diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.\r\nPrefer 2 years of hands-on restaurant management experience.\r\nServSafe Certified preferred or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.\r\nValid Driver's License.\r\nCommitment to excellence in friendly service.\r\nProven ability to grow sales.\r\nAbility to inspire and motivate others.\r\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.\r\nSets clear goals for self and team.\r\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\r\nFosters collaboration and teamwork within the team.\r\nPhysical Requirements This position requires regular attendance; the ability to work up to 55 hours per week; standing or walking for hours; hearing, speaking, walking, crawling, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, stooping, lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs; tolerance for significant temperature changes and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions.
