This role ensures technical accuracy, efficient project documentation, material procurement and overall project support from preconstruction through project closeout.\n\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\n\nProject Coordination & Technical Support\n\nReview plans and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and scope alignment. Assist Project Managers in reviewing and interpreting contract documents, drawings, and specifications.\nPrepare and review submittals, shop drawings, product data, and technical documents.\nMaintain and update project schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to ensure timely resolution of issues.\nCoordinate with general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.\nAttend coordination meetings and track action items.\nSupport field operations with layout verification, quality checks, and documentation.\nSupport field installation by resolving technical questions and providing clarifications.\nAssist Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project operations.\n\nProcurement & Material Management\n\nAssist with purchasing materials, equipment, and specialty components.\nTrack delivery schedules and lead times to avoid delays.\nCoordinate with vendors to ensure products meet project requirements and specifications\n\nQuality Control & Compliance\n\nSupport implementation of QA/QC procedures specific to the specialty trade.\nVerify that installation methods comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and manufacturer\nDocument observations and support corrective actions as needed.\n\nCost & Documentation Management\n\nAssist with project cost tracking, forecasting, and billing support.\nPrepare change order requests and gather supporting documentation.\nMaintain accurate and organized project files, drawings, and correspondence.\n\nScheduling & Budget Tracking\n\nHelp develop and maintain project schedules, including look-ahead updates.\nTrack project costs and assist with budget monitoring and reporting.\n\nDocumentation & Reporting\n\nAssist with project cost tracking, forecasting, and billing support.\nPrepare change order requests and gather supporting documentation.\nPrepare progress reports for internal teams and clients.\nMaintain accurate and organized project files, drawings, and correspondence.\n\nSafety & Compliance\n\nSupport enforcement of CROM’s safety policies and procedures.\nParticipate in jobsite safety walks and document safety observations.\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.\n\nCommunication & Coordination\n\nAct as a liaison between project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams.\nParticipate in project meetings and communicate field conditions or concerns promptly.\n\nProject Closeout\n\nCompile and prepare O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and warranty documentation\nTrack and finalize project punch list items.\nSupport turnover to the client and ensure all contractual closeout requirements are met.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nB.S. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar, or an equivalent technical degree, or equivalent and qualifying industry expertise.\nProficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.\nValid Driver’s License, with a clean driving record and Insurance.\nMust be a team player and able to work well with a diverse group of personnel.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience in a specialty contracting discipline.\nInternships or 1–3 years of industry experience desirable.\n30 Hour OSHA Certification\nConstruction internship\nConcrete industry experience.\nProficiency in MS Project or other related scheduling software.\nProficiency in Procore\nProficiency in Bluebeam software.\nFirst Aid, CPR, and AED Certification.\n\nOther Requirements:\n\nStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building systems.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficient with construction management software.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nProblem-solving orientation with willingness to learn technical trade skills.\nStrong skills in scheduling, submittals, and document control.\nMust be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.\nA hands-on training period will be required for the individual to become familiar with the construction of prestressed concrete tanks and the use of repair materials and methods utilized for infrastructure repair.\n\nWorking Conditions:\n\nTravel: This position will require that the Project Engineer travel in the assigned territory, field deployed, and assignment dictated by the number of projects in the area at any given time and as required by the Regional Team and Director of Construction.\nTravel to project sites, vendor locations, or coordination meetings.\nMix of oﬃce and field work depending on project requirements.\nProjects in other areas/territories and with other Regional Managers/ Regional Leads may be assigned as fluctuations occur in the workload of the assigned Regional Manager/Regional Lead.\nExtended work hours are required as necessary to meet project deadlines.\n\nEEO Statement: CROM, LLC is an equal employment opportunity employer who may provide reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
