Job OverviewThe Senior Program Associate provides support critical across programming, administration, and other operational activities for our visionary funds. They help cultivate relationships by responding to inquiries, conducting research for new projects, writing proposals, developing RFPs, and identifying potential sponsors and grantees. The Senior Program Associate also contributes to designing and coordinating program offerings and technical assistance.ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination: The Senior Program Associate coordinates several program activities, including:Planning meetings, workshops, logistics and may have a facilitative role in donor events and other meetings and workshopsResearching and track updates on emerging trends in philanthropy, advocacy, education policy, and other relevant program topicsSupport the management of internal and external relationshipsAssist with designing and implementing grantmaking strategy, including proposal reviewCoordinate and assist in the design of program-related activities such as capacity building and peer learningGrantmaking Support and Data Management: The Senior Program Associate plays a key role in the grantmaking process and program data management. This includes:Collaborate and coordinate with Program team to administer grants, develop grant recommendations, and monitor grantsSupports a healthy interaction with other teams that participate in grantmaking activitiesMaintain contact information of all donors and grantees, access to all grant-seeking portals for submitting applications and reports, and work with Development department to ensure development plan content is accurate and updatedCommunicate and Collaborate: The Senior Program Associate communicates regularly with other Program staff, other departments, and with grantees and other external partners, including:Serve as primary contact for select partners including contractors and grant partnersAssist with preparing funding proposals, donor prospect research, written summaries, and report writing, preparation, and distributionGather and share Program- and grantee-related updates with Communications department for both short-term projects (grantee spotlights, social media content) and longer-term projects (grant announcements, newsletters, communications planning)Draft, edit and review dockets and other fund communication materialsGather data, perform analysis, and prepare reports on program/project information and activitiesCollaborate with team members and external constituents to support program objectivesOther Duties: As a member of the staff, the Senior Program Associate performs certain functions that are not specific to their job, but support the organization and our grantee partners as a whole.
