Junior Algorithmic Trading Engineer (Python / API)
Most brokerages were built for institutions. If you've been trading algorithmically with your own capital and hitting walls — slow fills, execution that doesn't match your backtests, infrastructure that wasn't designed for you — this might be relevant.About LimeLime was founded by hedge fund traders who built the brokerage they couldn't find elsewhere. For 20+ years, we've served institutions that demand speed, volume, and privacy. We're now opening that infrastructure to independent traders and developers. What this role actually isWe're bringing on a small number of practitioners to work with us on short-term, paid projects. You'd be helping us understand how algorithmic strategies behave in real execution environments — where latency, routing, and infrastructure start to matter. It's a working engagement with people who are already doing this. You're probably a fit if:● You write and run your own strategies in Python, using APIs (Alpaca, IBKR, Tradier, or similar)● You manage your own capital — anywhere from $2K to $100K+● You've started noticing the gap between backtested performance and live results● You care about why a trade filled the way it did, not just whether the strategy was rightBonus points for:Experience with REST APIs, FIX protocol, order routing, or latency optimization
