Primary responsibility will be to develop and execute the plan to support the mutually agreed upon business objectives by VRS and VGO. Key areas of leadership activity will be in the Relationship Management, Supply Chain, Product Strategy, and Financial (Pricing & Analytics) functional areas. Critical to success for this role will be to:Identify, design, develop, and implement consistent process improvements to reduce (or optimize) the cost structure to serve associated with VGO manufacturing, operations, and distribution of products to VRS.Identify “as is” processes and determine “future state” to optimize efficiencies for VGO and VRS.Collaborate with VGO project strategy team to support VRS current and future product needs that align with VGO strategies.Possess significant financial analysis and business acumen to understand and articulate results and develop improvement plans.Possess top to top level account management skills to develop, strengthen, and enhance critical relationships both internally and externally to handle challenges that arise – to mitigate senior management engagement.Possess high level communication, gap analysis, problem solving, and financial analysis skills.Oversight on our contractual relationship to ensure compliance.Provide essential leadership and strategy development for other strategic VGO customers based on best practice improvement learned from VRS – i.e., supply chain enhancements, etc.Success will be determined through a variety of KIP including:Owning top relationships with key executives of VRS as well as large franchisees.Coordination of supply chain activities with internal VGO (and external CPS partnerships) and critical stakeholders within VRS.Proper and timely analysis and compliance with all aspects of the VRS/VGO supply agreement.Ensure that we deliver on our contractual obligations.Job DutiesDeployment of effective team communications, managing high level T2T customer relationships, strategy execution, profit and loss decisions, forecasting, and safety practices.Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure resource needs are met and support requirements are fulfilled. Improving communication and processes to accelerate efficiencies and further the ease of doing business with VGOAccountability for the P&L and compliance with VRS/VGO supply agreement. Includes developing and planning annual budgets and strategic plansSetting of clear expectations consistent with the Installer Channel objectives and holding teams accountable to improve the customer experience consistent with developed metrics for successProvide leadership on potential enhancements, process improvements, tools, and best practice solutions for Installer ChannelsOther duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretionWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s degree required in Finance/Accounting/Engineering/Science.Prior automotive/operations experience, automotive technical aptitude, and supply chain experience preferred. Sales management/large account management experience, marketing, financial or related business management experience required.Prior experience at leading teams successfully in a fast paced and challenging sales environment.Prior management experience: managing managers is required.5-7 years of experience leading large, cross-functional teams and business types.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.Must be able to work in-office (Lexington, KY HQ) three days per week.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. What Will Set You ApartMasters DegreePrior automotive/operations experience, automotive technical aptitude, and supply chain experience preferred.
