Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States.\n\nJob Description\nThis position is for a highly skilled with innovative attitude and motivated Process Engineer to join ASML Wilton Factory Optical Fabrication team. This role supports daily manufacturing operations, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to advance equipment capability and product performance.\n\nRole and responsibilities\n\nChampion a safety-first culture by identifying potential hazards, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring all work adheres to established EHS safety protocols\n\nDevelop, document, and improve CNC machining processes, programs, and workflows for new and existing products.\n\nOptimize cycle times, toolpaths, feeds/speeds, and work holding to improve quality and throughput.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and metrology to resolve technical challenges and implement sustainable solutions\n\nDiagnose and resolve machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, programming, and equipment behavior.\n\nPartner with maintenance and vendors to address machine performance, repeatability issues, or reliability concerns.\n\nAnalyze machining performance using SPC, capability studies, and data-driven problem solving.\n\nDefine process specifications and control limits; utilize statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) to evaluate process capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making and maintaining 6P=P from feasibility to production-readiness phases\n\nPerform hands-on process trials and support qualification of new equipment, materials, and process changes to enhance production performance.\n\nSupport root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or nonconformances.\n\nDrive 5S and workplace organization around CNC areas.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or related field)\n\nMinimum 10 years of experience in optical fabrication process engineering or a related manufacturing environment\n\nHands-on experience with optics fabrication techniques, including CNC machining, polishing, and surface inspection\n\nProficient in root cause analysis (RCA) and lean manufacturing tools\n\nFamiliarity with metrology techniques and quality assurance in optics manufacturing\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead problem-solving initiatives and implement process improvements\n\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively across different departments\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience in a semiconductor or CNC manufacturing environment\n\nKnowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Six Sigma methodologies\n\nSolid Modeling Software, NX\n\nCAM Software, Mastercam\n\nProficiency in data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or equivalent software\n\nExperience with SAP or MES systems\n\nKnowledge of cleanroom protocols and practices\n\nAdditional Information\nThe physical demands described below represent those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this Process Engineer role.
