In this role the Developer will provide full stack development support to the Sponsor’s web applications’ expanding cloud infrastructure. The Contractor shall leverage coding skills and expertise in cloud computing to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and efficient web applications, supporting the Sponsor’s customers.\n\nEssential Job Duties\n\nDeveloping new architecture to meet cloud requirements of Sponsor's web applications.\nPerforming operation and maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Sponsor's web applications in Sponsor's cloud environment.\nImplementing custom cloud functionality using development languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.\nCustomizing existing and creating new tools for displaying, retrieving, and analyzing data in the web environment.\nDeveloping new or adapting existing techniques to increase the speed and improve the visual display quality and interactive behavior of Sponsor's web delivery methods.\nInterfacing with counterparts in other government agencies to identify and ingest data.\nProgramming customized code, scripts; modules, and libraries for analysis functions using appropriate scripting and development languages.\nUpdating and improv1ng Sponsor's existing customized code, scripts, modules, etc. as needed.\nTesting and troubleshooting Sponsor-developed software solutions in a development/test environment.\nMaintaining the Extract Transform Load (EFL) process to dynamically pull data from various sources, normalize it, and store it.\nAdding new data sources based on Sponsor requirements, monitoring existing sources, and troubleshooting and fixing issues as they arise.\nPerforming operations and maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Sponsor's web applications in Sponsor's outward-fating cloud environment.\nAssisting with deploying web tools to Sponsor's Cloud architecture.\nProviding metadata, commented code, user manuals, system requirements, system security plans, and other documents required for future users.\nCreating and delivering program and project artifacts and deliverables.\nSupporting Sponsor's and program's strategic and tactical planning activities.\n\nQualifications\n\nActive TS/SCI w/ Poly.\nDemonstrated professional experience with the following required tools, systems, services, and data types:\nProgramming languages such as Python, Java, JavScript, and C++.\nCloud computing services from major providers, including experience with cloud-based development and deployment.\nDatabase management systems, such as Oracle.\nVersion control systems, such as Git.\nWeb development frameworks and technologies, such as Flask and Django.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with the Sponsor’s enterprise services, security controls, and data management practices.\nFamiliarity with outward-facing Cloud environment and outward-facing applications.\nExperience with APIs and data management tools and structures.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nWorking conditions are normal for an office environment.\n\nWorking at SOSi\n\nAll interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.","company":"SOSI","rawCompany":"sosi","city":"Gaithersburg","state":"MD","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-09-06T12:27:34.475Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1254.00","title":"Web Developers","slug":"web-developers"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"}],"industries":[{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Full Stack Developer","description":"Company Description\n\nFounded in 1989 and headquartered in Reston, Virginia, SOSi is a private defense and government solutions business specializing in advanced technology systems and mission support.
