In this role, you’ll help administer the CMS ethics program and provide guidance on standards of conduct, financial disclosure, conflicts of interest, outside employment, procurement integrity, and political activities.ResponsibilitiesAdminister the CMS ethics program and serve as a program expert on ethics regulations and standards of conductDevelop, evaluate, and implement updates to ethics operations and policy documentsServe as a technical consultant to the Deputy Ethics Counselor, managers, and employeesAdvise on sensitive issues involving employee ethics, conflicts of interest, impartiality, outside employment, financial disclosure, procurement integrity, and political activitiesQualificationsApplicants must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, including:Required SkillsAnalyzing potential conflicts of interest and recommending or implementing mitigation strategiesReviewing confidential and public financial disclosure reports for complianceInterpreting and applying federal ethics laws, regulations, and policies to advise employees and managementPreferred SkillsFederal ethics and standards of conductFinancial disclosure reviewConflict of interest analysisPolicy interpretationSound judgment and discretionStrong written and verbal communicationPay range and compensation packageSalary: $121,785 – $158,322/yearLocation: Woodlawn, MDTelework: Yes — situational telework, as determined by agency policy | Remote: NoAppointment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeTravel: OccasionalEqual Opportunity StatementImportant: Resume limited to 2 pages.
