Essential Job FunctionsComplete the set-up and takedown of equipment from events and return thebuilding to its original condition before and after each event. Enforcerules of the Omni Center regarding the general public by ensuring safetyprotocols when on premises. Ability to recognize any problems withregards to the building, its contents, equipment, or supplies and reportany questionable changes to the supervisor or maintenance lead bywritten or verbal communication. Assist in the maintenance of the ice,which includes resurfacing, flooding, patching and edging as well as anyother duties deemed necessary. Assist in the maintenance of the buildingto maintain the best possible condition. Duties include, but are notlimited to, bathroom cleaning and restocking, floor care, windows, andcustodial cleaning, as well as outside maintenance. Performs openingprocedures for the building during events and properly securing thebuilding each night. Ensure customers or prospective customers needs arereasonably met during the course of an event to the best of your abilityor seek advice from the immediate supervisor. Ensure cleanliness andsafety of the building and surrounding grounds. Ability to maintain aprofessional demeanor and establish effective working relationships withthe general public, associates, volunteers, and staff; and have theability to calmly approach and solve problems under stressfulcircumstances; maintain and promote harmony in the workplace; ability toconcentrate for extended periods of time and be flexible. Contributes toa cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to performother job-related work as needed or requested. Assistance is given toothers and special projects to be completed as scheduled or requested.Lead Facility Maintenance Technician: In addition to the above, alsoresponsible to: Lead a crew to complete the set-up and takedown ofequipment from events and return the building to its original conditionbefore and after each event. Assist in the maintenance of the ice, whichincludes resurfacing, flooding, patching and edging as well as any otherduties deemed necessary. Provide direction to other part time staff inthe absence of a supervisor.
