We are opening a new campus facility that will have two of our businesses (Marley and Ingenia Technologies) evolving and growing together at SPX's very first campus. As the material manager on this campus, you will be responsible to oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring efficient inventory management and supplier relationships to support production for the Cooling portion of the organization. This position is tactical in nature and involves tasks like inventory management, procurement, supplier relations and logistics coordination. Key to this role will be to learn in a fast-paced environment. Reporting into the Cooling Plant Manager, this position is also responsible for training operations staff, signing purchase orders and tracking the flow of inventory through the company's supply chain.\r\nJob Responsibilities\r\nMonitor and manage inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed while avoiding excess stock that could lead to waste. Approximate value of inventory under management will be $30M.\r\nProcure materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for production, develop and implement procurement strategies to acquire materials at optimal costs while maintaining quality standards, negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, and plan inventory levels and manage stock levels to ensure materials are available when needed. Approximate value of annual purchase is $100M. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring timely delivery of materials.\r\nOversee the logistics of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring alignment with production schedules and operational needs. Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
