This role conducts safety inspections, manages training and documentation, and partners with internal teams and external vendors to ensure a safe, well‑maintained, and compliant manufacturing environment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAssist in administering and maintaining company safety programs and OSHA compliance initiatives.\n\nCoordinate and track required employee safety training to ensure timely completion and documentation.\n\nConduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments throughout the facility to identify and mitigate risks.\n\nInvestigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and support corrective actions.\n\nMaintain OSHA logs, safety records, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binders, and other compliance documentation.\n\nAssist with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, and Emergency Action Plans.\n\nCoordinate emergency evacuation drills and safety meetings to promote awareness and preparedness.\n\nEnsure safety signage and postings are current, accurate, and properly displayed throughout the facility.\n\nMonitor compliance with company safety rules and procedures and report violations to management.\n\nAssist with workers’ compensation documentation, incident follow‑up, and related recordkeeping.\n\nCoordinate vendor services related to safety compliance and environmental requirements.\n\nMaintain chemical inventories and ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.\n\nCoordinate facility maintenance requests and repairs to ensure timely resolution of issues.\n\nWork with outside vendors and contractors for building maintenance and facility services.\n\nMonitor building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems, and report or coordinate needed service.\n\nAssist with maintaining facility cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards across all areas.\n\nCoordinate inspections and preventative maintenance schedules for facility systems and equipment.\n\nMaintain facility‑related records, permits, licenses, and service contracts in an organized manner.\n\nSupport office moves, workstation setups, and facility improvement projects from planning through completion.\n\nAssist in managing waste disposal and recycling programs in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.\n\nEnsure common areas, break rooms, and exterior grounds are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.\n\nCoordinate snow removal, landscaping, pest control, and janitorial services as part of facility management.\n\nEssential Skills\n\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.\n\n2+ years of experience in EHS, facilities, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.\n\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.\n\nExperience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including the MS Office Suite.\n\nStrong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.\n\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.\n\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.\n\nFirst Aid and CPR certification.\n\nAdditional Skills & Qualifications\n\nExperience working with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other ISO‑based quality management systems.\n\nFamiliarity with ISO standards and compliance environments.\n\nExperience supporting or maintaining environmental, health, and safety systems within a manufacturing or industrial setting.\n\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate with vendors, contractors, and cross‑functional teams.\n\nInterest in continuous improvement and implementing best practices in safety and facility management.\n\nWork Environment\nThe EHS Engineer works primarily in a manufacturing and office environment, regularly moving between production areas, common spaces, and office locations.
