Working from the office is encouraged for some tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.\nJob Overview:\nGALT Aerospace is looking for a full-time, salaried Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer, who will play a key role in building, maintaining, and securing development and DevSecOps infrastructure across multiple aerospace projects. This position supports the growing needs of our\ndevelopment environment, ensuring system reliability, automation, and compliance as programs expand and CMMC accreditation progresses. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Linux system administration, virtualization, automation, and CI/CD and software best practices.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAdminister and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware ESXi environments supporting development and DevSecOps pipelines\nDesign, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and other automation tools to improve software build, test, and deployment efficiency\nAutomate provisioning, configuration, and compliance using Ansible and Terraform\nSupport QCOW2/QEMU image creation and management for virtualized test environments\nDevelop and maintain Bash and Python scripts to streamline administrative and build processes\nApply and validate STIG and security hardening requirements across development and test environments\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance across virtualized and on-premises infrastructure\nCollaborate with software development teams to ensure consistent, secure, and reliable DevSecOps practices\nContribute to documentation, process improvement, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field\n7+ years of experience in DevSecOps, system administration, or software infrastructure/automation roles\nExpertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware ESXi, and vSphere administration\nExperience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform\nStrong scripting skills in Bash; working knowledge of Python\nExperience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based workflows\nFamiliarity with STIG compliance, system hardening, and security best practices\nUnderstanding of QCOW2, QEMU, or other virtualization technologies\nU.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with CMMC, DoD, or other compliance frameworks\nCertifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), VMware VCP, or Terraform/Ansible certification\nExperience with containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes)\nKnowledge of network architecture, firewalls, and system monitoring tools\nActive DoD security clearance\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nMust be able to sit or stand for 1 hour at a time\nMust be able to operate a computer\n\nPay Scale:\nAt GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
