This shop has a great atmosphere and opportunity for growth!\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n\nRepair and maintain diesel trash trucks, cabs and trailers, and bodies of company vehicles and other equipment as necessary to maintain a serviceable fleet of trucks for the division’s assigned routes.\nPerforms regular preventative servicing to include oil and filter changes, lubrication, hoses, belts, transmission fluids, coolant system, batteries, brake lines, brake adjustments, hydraulics, lights and electrical components, and engine components.\nInspects and tests equipment at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown. Diagnoses malfunctions, disassembles, inspects, and replaces worn or broken parts as required.\nPerform component replacement to removal of engine or transmission unit.\nComplete precise tech write ups\nPerform basic failure analysis.\nSeparate the difference between electronic or mechanical failure.\nPerform in frame overhauls on engines and bench overhauls on transmissions\nRecognize and communicate safe cost cutting measures.\nWork within SRT times always.\nWork with no supervision.\nHelp guide others to successful completion of their repairs while maintaining excellent repair times on their work assignments\nTrain trainees\n\nYou Have:\n\n5- 10 years of experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic\nExperience with diagnostics and diagnostic software\nKnowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.\nAbility to Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.\nAbility to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.\nBasic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and software\nA valid driver’s license\nStrong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.\nMust be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.\nHave ability to work towards a personal \"Best in Class\" standard\n\nYou Might Have:\n\nA Diesel Engine Technical degree\nA commercial drivers license (CDL), A or B\nPA State Inspection License (highly desired)\nASEs\nYour own tools\n\nWe Offer:\n\nCompetitive Salary\nHealth Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401K with Company match\nA fun, family environment\nand much more!!\n\nFor over 40 years, our motto has been \"If it's service, it's us\".
