Conducts tests, debugs control and diagnostic systems, and conducts research. Measures and analyzes software designs, implements procedures to support hardware and software product development, and operates equipment.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nComplete conceptual, architectural, detailed design and test documentation.\nDesign to global regulatory requirements\nWork closely with hardware, software, research, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, compliance, and quality group members within and outside of project team to design products for customer satisfaction.\nDevelop firmware applications using FreeRTOS on STM micro controllers and Embedded Linux systems.\nConducts tests and performs debugs of control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.\nConducts disciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems and commercial software.\nMeasures and analyzes software designs for equipment/products to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.\nBuilds and implements procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and functions.\nOperates equipment and computer systems for testing and software design purposes to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives are achieved.\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree\n2+ years of experience with real time embedded firmware systems.\n2+ years of debugging experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nStrong understanding and experience with FreeRTOS or similar real-time operating systems.\nProficient in developing embedded software for microcontrollers and microprocessors (e.g., ARM).\nExtensive experience with various peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.).\nDemonstrated ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.\nExperience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).\nExperience with agile development methodologies.\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills\nStrong debugging and analytical skills.\nCompensation and Benefits\nIndividuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
