This role will be responsible for administration of and improving our Linux environment as well as provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Also, they need to participate in research and development to drive innovation and efficiency within IT infrastructure.\nPrimary Job Responsibilities:\nManage MACOM’s IT infrastructure and related services.\n\nProvide technical recommendations for services performance and reliability improvements.\n\nProvide technical leadership to Run function team.\nRoles and Responsibilities (not limited to):\nInstalling, configuring, maintaining, performing upgrades and downgrades, troubleshooting, documenting for systems, servers, and infrastructure devices and related services.\nRecommends and develops mission critical solutions; makes recommendations to address capacity constraints, performance limitation on wide range of technologies.\nEvaluate performance, monitor workloads, and analyze results to ensure optimal operations.\nDevelop and improve upon operational procedures and standards.\nLead/coordinate projects including new installations, upgrades, retrofits, etc.\nEnterprise business and engineering applications support\nPartner with business to gather requirements and ensure needs are being met.\nRequired skills:\nIntermediate to advanced Linux administration skills.\nArchitecture: Recommends and develops mission critical solutions; makes recommendations to address capacity constraints, performance limitation on wide range of technologies.\nExcellent documentation and analytical skills.\nProject management: Ability to provide a thorough planning approach to large scale projects. The ability to define physical and logical resources is needed to complete a project and meet deadlines. Experience leading project teams.\nInter-personal and communication skills: Capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a supplier liaison, making presentations to customers, clients, and professional peers. Act as a technical leader and mentor.\nTechnologies / Competencies\nMust have skills\nLinux and / or Windows administration\nVirtualization : VMWare / Nutanix\nBackup and recovery : Veeam\nCloud : AWS / Azure / GCP\nGood to have skills\nHardware installation and management : HP, Dell, Netapp etc.\nData Center management : Power, rack space, cooling etc.\nStorage : NFS, CIFS, iSCSI etc.\nProficiency in scripting languages (Powershell, Python, etc.)\n\nJob Qualifications (Required):\n8+ years related IT System Administration experience\n10+ years of IT related experience\nRelevant certifications\nBachelor’s or advanced degree\nExperience working within the Semiconductor Industry a plus.\nAbility to work independently and in teams reaching high levels of productivity.\nComfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously\nDemonstrate strong work ethics.\n\nWilling to travel.\nDue to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.\nThe Salary Range for this position is $95,000 - $154,000.
