Our Prescott, AZ aerospace client has a direct salaried opening for an Embedded Development Engineer. The salary range is $100K - $120K+ for a level II/III engineer. This is an onsite position.\n\nDue to the 5,300 elevation Prescott enjoys very comfortable average temps throughout the year - including 80's in the summertime.\n\nThe Software Engineer designs and implements real-time embedded software for the organization's aerospace products, including software defined radios, navigation & communication radios, airborne servers, audio products and other similar products. This includes software design, coding, debugging, test and verification, documentation, and support of certification activities. It may include development of low-level drivers and real time embedded applications. It may also include development of customer facing application software used to configure company's avionics products.\n\nBasic knowledge of Architecture/Design/Development of Real Time embedded software\nBasic knowledge of design assurance level partitioning for safety critical systems\nProficient knowledge of software engineering fundamentals\nProficient knowledge of real time operating system (RTOS)\nProficient knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor\nProficient knowledge in development of PC applications\nProficient knowledge in development of device driver software\nProficient knowledge in software verification\n\nRequired Skills / Qualifications:\nBachelor's in Engineering or similar STEM degree\nMin 3 years (prefer 5 years) of embedded software engineering experience with C/C++\nMin 2 years experience with Python and ideally other scripting languages\nMin 2 years of experience writing and debugging real time, safety critical, embedded software in C/C++\nMin 2 years of experience capturing requirements and designs in requirements with management tools such as DOORS or Visure.\n\nThis is an aerospace ITAR facility, U.S. Persons required.\n\nPreferred Skills / Qualifications:\nC# nice to have\nExperience with DSP to perform audio and radio signal processing\nExperience using bench equipment; oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, In-Circuit Emulators, J-TAG debuggers\nMS Windows Application developments experience in C#\nExperience with Linux\n\nAfter you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
