Title I Instructional DeanPrimary Purpose: To support the campus in meeting the needs of at-risk students through supporting Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 instruction.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in EducationValid Texas teaching certificateDemonstrated competency in the core academic subject areasDesire to become an administrator or instructional coach/specialistMinimum Experience: 3 years of teaching experience at the elementary or secondary levelMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Lead the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Response to Intervention (RTI)Support at-risk student identification (academic & behavioral)Maintain systems for progress monitoring of all identified at-risk studentsOversee, schedule, & facilitate SNAP MeetingsCreate, organize, and lead professional development for campusLead interim and weekly data meetingsFacilitate and coach the development of the weekly instructional planning guideConduct observation and feedback cyclesCollect and analyze student, campus, and district dataMentor and support new teachersLead and support campus and/or district initiativesOrganize the campus-wide tutorial programAnalyze student benchmark data to determine appropriate interventionsOther responsibilities may include: Facilitate SPED Referrals Serve as the Coordinator/Assistant for: 504 State Testing TELPAS, and/or MAPSupervisory Responsibilities: This position may supervise assigned educational assistants.Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripheralsPosture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding, and use of a mouse; occasional reachingLifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)Environment: Frequent district-wide travel; occasional state-wide travelMental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy, procedures, and data; coordinate district functions; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
