Made Possible.\r\nJOB SUMMARY\r\nThis position provides analytical support for all activities and processes of the site Leadership Team. Key processes include monthly close, monthly financial forecasts, annual operating plans, and compliance matters. Responsibilities also include: analysis and evaluation of the monthly operating results, annual budgets, monthly production and financial forecasts, and weekly results reporting.\r\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\n\r\nGeneral Financial Control is responsible for directing the organization's accounting functions and areas of focus include: Accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting.\r\nDeveloping and maintaining planning and budgeting systems, the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management.\r\nAnalysing and interpreting trends requiring management's attention.\r\nDuties may also include training and managing other accounting staff.\r\nIndividuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.\r\nLeaders typically manage two or more direct reports.\r\nResponsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.\r\nResponsible for people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.\r\nProgression within the levels reflects increase in scope and responsibilities as well as growth in business and industry experience, process and people leadership capabilities, and broad technical expertise.\r\nManages experienced professionals and/or supervisors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.\r\nOften heads one or more sections or a small department.\r\nAdapts departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term challenges.\r\nWorks on issues of diverse scope; analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in own discipline and a basic knowledge of other disciplines.\r\nSolves problems following operational policies; understands the broader impact across the department.\r\nActs as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.\r\nApplies understanding of the business and how area of responsibility integrates with other areas to achieve department objectives.\r\nInterprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units.\r\nDevelops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.\r\nAssignments are defined by activities and objectives; work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.\r\nDecisions impact work processes and outcomes.\r\nErrors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause serious delays and considerable expenditure of resources.\r\nInteracts frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels.\r\nParticipates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives.\r\nInteraction typically concerns resolution of operational and scheduling issues.\r\n\r\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree.\r\n\r\nThe candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
